The purpose of Step Into Serving Weekend is to significantly boost the amount of people on our CE Serving Teams by promoting serving across all CE campuses in multiple different ways, while also providing practical steps to help people sign up right then (including Serving Teams options displayed in the lobby). The weekend occurs during a couple strategic times of the year (typically February and September). CE is passionate about serving because we see the difference it makes in peoples’ lives and we know how it helps build up God’s Church! By serving, people gain valuable Christian relationships and lean in spiritually as they take more ownership in God’s work.

Step Into Serving Weekend…

• A brief “Step Into Serving” promo video will be played during the service on the prior weekend.

• “Step Into Serving” will be communicated in the service from the stage the prior weekend and on the actual weekend. The weekend of “Step Into Serving”, various Serving Team leaders may be a part of the Welcome as well (and share about the teams they lead).

• Lead Pastors will preach on the theme of serving during the weekend of “Step Into Serving.”

• “Step Into Serving” info cards will be displayed on each seat and/or handed out to each person in the service on the actual weekend to communicate the name/purpose of each Serving Team.

• Mission Support will follow-up with personal contacts and Ministry Grid training assignments within 48 hours.

• There will be table(s) in the lobby after the service for people to register on clip boards, and leaders from those teams available to recruit and answer questions. Some leaders may offer to take prospective leaders on a five-minute tour of their ministry area right then when it makes sense to do so (and in some cases a special snack/gift will also be given out as a ‘thank you’ for registering to serve).
