Are you ready to start serving with Church Experience? If so, before you explore specific teams and start your training below, here’s some things that every person should know regardless of what CE Serving Team they are a part of…
- Church Experience is “one church with many experiences“. We are better together and we are making a growing Kingdom impact for God that is far beyond what any of us could do alone! We are not a network, denomination, or association, but one collective church family (and a single 501c3 non-profit organization). This is important to know because every CE Lead Pastor and team have made commitments to honor the authority that God has established within CE, maintain unity and order throughout CE, and carry out the 7 CE ministries described below with excellence in the way that has been outlined in these trainings. This matters because there may be times you question, “why do we do what we do the way we do it?” The answer is often because we are collectively doing something a certain way for a bigger purpose together and ultimately so that more people can experience a full life in Jesus Christ!
- CE prefers to use the language of “serving” (instead of “volunteering“) and “leaders” or “team members” instead of “volunteers“. We are all called to serve the Lord, and you don’t have to be a pastor, missionary, or work at a church to express that calling! Serving is what Jesus modeled and how we all express our gifts to advance God’s mission with a heart of humility! Jesus said that He, “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). There’s nothing wrong with the words “volunteer” or “volunteering“, but most churches refer to the “staff” (employees) as the leaders while everyone else are “just volunteers“. Leadership (especially servant leadership) is something we all can express as we influence others to Christ through the way we live and serve! There are those who have great gifts of leadership, but we all have capacity to lead and influence. What this means is that when you begin serving, we will refer to you as a “leader“, not a “volunteer“! You may have never thought of yourself as a leader, but you are because you have influence in others’ lives! Let’s work together to use that influence to point others to Jesus as we serve Him! IMPORTANT: Take a look at your seven CE ministries listed below, select one that seems like a good fit for you, and click on the button for that ministry. Once you get to the page for that ministry, you’ll see an overview of the various CE Serving Teams that are a part of that ministry. You’ll then be able to select a specific Serving Team team inside that ministry, complete your team training, and submit a registration form for that Serving Team!

FRONTLINE MINISTRY
The Frontline Ministry consists of five Serving Teams that are on the front lines of welcoming people into your church family (Parking Team, VIP Greeting Team, Hospitality Team, Usher Team, & Safety Team). These teams help people experience God’s love from the street to their seat!

KID EXPERIENCE MINISTRY
The Kid Experience Ministry serves kids from birth to 5th grade, teaching them about Jesus from an early age and pouring God’s love into their young lives. Even if kids are not your specialty, there are still areas to make a difference in KE by helping with technology, safety, or check-in!

STUDENT EXPERIENCE MINISTRY
The Student Experience Ministry serves middle school and high school students, helping raise up the next generation to live for Jesus. We provide a weekly Student Experience gathering, fun student outreach events, SE summer camp, and much more!

LIFE GROUPS MINISTRY
The Life Groups Ministry helps people experience life together in Christ. You can host a group in your home and/or lead a group by yourself or with others. Life Group leaders help people in their group grow in their relationships with God and with others!

MUSIC & ARTS MINISTRY
The Music & Arts Ministry leads our church family in weekly worship. There are opportunities to serve on the Tech Team (sound, media, and lighting) and audition to play an instrument or sing!

OPERATIONS MINISTRY
The Operations Ministry is responsible for helping your church operate with excellence and efficiency so that more people experience a full life in Jesus Christ. You can help with set-up and breakdown, assisting with events and baptisms, serving on the Admin Team behind-the-scenes, and much more!

OUTREACH & CAUSES MINISTRY
The Outreach Ministry spearheads our CE efforts to reach unreached people in your community and unleash compassion in Jesus name. You can help organize annual food collections, help organize local outreach activities, serve at outreach events, and more!

The 7 CE ministries above operate at all established CE campuses. There are also some limited opportunities to serve with Church Experience as a whole (all campuses), through serving with Mission Support.
MISSION SUPPORT
The ministry of Mission Support provides resources and supplies, digital and traditional communication, graphic design, video editing, data entry and management including financial data management, real estate support, problem solving, local leadership support, and so much more!
CE people are encouraged to only apply to serve with Mission Support in addition to (not instead of) serving at their local CE campus. Serving positions with Mission Support are limited and require a high level of consistent commitment with excellence as these roles support your whole church family in many different cities!
